The Wedding Singer

Hope attended her first wedding this weekend. It was at Lincoln National Park and then a reception at Christmas Lake Village. The bride and groom rode to the reception in a horse drawn carriage. So, Hope met her first horse...at least I don't think she's met Pappy's horse, "Whoa Damn-it" (Pappy really needs to re-name his horse before Luke comes to town!) She really seemed to like it. She pet its nose and didn't seem afraid at all. Another first: her first trip to the pool. Here she is getting greased up and ready to head out. No pictures from the pool since I took her by myself and couldn't also deal with a camera, but as soon as Dad comes we'll get some. I've never seen anything more adorable than her chubby thighs kicking those waves!
Hope's latest fascination is with books. She mostly just likes to pull them out of her bin. It's at least 20 minutes of pure contentment.
And...Chelsea graduated from the 5th grade. We're proud of you Chelsea!
Chelsea with her graduation certificate and one from President Obama. Sorry the picture is fuzzy, during the ceremony, we kept Hope happy playing with the camera. She manages to always find new settings.

FYI - that #@$%^#@!!uncontrollable piesce of horse flesh - "Whoa damn-it" was sold last year and replaced with a good registered mare with some brains and lots of get up go - registered name = "Lori Darling". (Darling for short) Not a kid hose - but a great cow handling hose. "Kid Proof" pony will be found when Hope / Luke age a little and their mom's turn them loose with Pappy.
