Visiting Family

On our way to Washington, we were able to stop in for a weekend with John, Christy and Luke. What a treat! We miss you guys!

Woodrow Wilson Tour

On our drive home, Woody was able to convince Leigh Ann to stop at the Woodrow Wilson birthplace. This museum, and his presidential library are in Staunton Virginia.

Also, while in Washington we visited the Woodrow Wilson house. There is another museum there, but there was an admission fee and we were a little late for the tour of the home so we just have pictures from outside.

This picture is just in case we're having a boy- little Woody IV, you got to visit too!

more vacation

We took a stroll along Embassy Row and stumbled across the Burkina Faso Embassy! Now Leigh Ann has been to the American Embassy in Burkina Faso and the Burkina Faso Embassy in America!

An attempt at capturing Washington at night. Still trying to figure out the features of our digital camera, so it's a little blurred.

Second attempt at visiting Lincoln's memorial. This time at night. Leigh Ann feels as tired as she looks, but it was worth it to see Washington at night!

Woody's special treat was going to National's Park to take in a major league game against the Angels. The Nationals aren't very good so we were able to get tickets for $5! A far cry from Busch Stadium!

A new memorial on the mall is the WWII memorial.

Vacation

We were fortunate to be able to take a vacation to Washington D. C. this June. These are just a few of our pictures.
The prime minister from Vietnam was visiting. We got a close up look at his group while visiting the Capitol building. Later, at the Lincoln memorial, we were run off again so that his group could come site seeing.

Rainbow at Arlington Cemetary. Pictures never quite do it justice....

We got rained on at Arlington.
