Hello again! The reason for the long delay: Desperate need for and finally a purchase of a new computer! Still haven't figured it all out so the only pictures I can add to this are ones from Woody's phone. Soon, I'll figure out my own phone, then I'll figure out the camera. Maybe one day I'll even get my photo editing software on here and figured out as well. Until then, I'll hit the highlights of life at the Maglinger's. I'll fill you in on more day to day details (which I actually find way more important to document and capture) a little later.

First- during spring break, we went on FBC's family mission trip to Bexley, OH. This is not Bexley. It is Columbus- of which Bexley is a suburb. It was both of our children's first experience with missions outside of Owensboro. We hope that missions will always be a part of their lives.

And Holiday World opened! During May and June (their slow months) we practically live here. Many fun memories already and the summer is just getting started. Opening weekend was cold and rainy. But that's nothing a little triple scoop ice cream in a chocolate dipped waffle cone won't cure! At Kringle Kafe, that's the only way it comes...triple scoop. Wow.

Hope has learned to email Mom and Dad photos of herself that she creates on the iphone. Imagine getting this email from your 4 year old who you thought was just napping in the back of the van on the ride home from Holiday World!

Woody went back to East Asia.

And finally, we took our children on their first camping trip. Just a short one night trip. We had to see how it would go. It went well as long as you don't mind dirt sticking to marshmallow that is caked into your 19 month old's hair, searching for food to keep alive the snail we caught in the critter box, hiking with kids on your shoulders, and nothing but junk food to eat for 24 hours. We don't mind any of that, so we had a great time!
The kids are all doing well. Hope is loving Bible School this week She is signed up for her school for the next year and looks very forward to that starting. This summer's goal for her is to learn to ride her bike. Will is not so much loving Bible School, but he's making it. His biggest change since my last post is his language! He speaks so many words well now! He's still a water baby at heart but the fearless streak is changing a bit. He loves horses and cars. The best was riding in Pappy's big truck in the front seat with no child restraints to spoil the fun going back to see the cows and donkeys.
More to come on that and other items later! |
